The name dates back to 1264, when King Alfonso X rewarded one of his knights, Alfonso Valdespino, with a vineyard. The Valdespino family has been producing sherries and brandies ever since. This brandy is a meticulous selection of wines distilled in a still to obtain very fine, aromatic holandas which are then aged for more than 25 years in American oak casks which have previously held our renowned and prestigious old Valdespino Olorosos for years, following the system of criaderas and soleras. Bright mahogany-coloured, this Brandy is warm, intense and powerful, with clear notes of oak and dried fruits, reminiscent of sherry wine and the casks where it has been aged. Long-lasting dry, enveloping and powerful flavour with a strong and singular character.
