Malt Whisky

Aged in centenarian Valdespino casks.

Alc. Vol.: 43º

After decades of exporting sherry-aged casks to whisky distilleries in Scotland, in 1955 a batch of Malt Whisky was selected from a small batch of casks from various distilleries which used to import casks from Valdespino. From that moment this distillate was aged in the company winery in Jerez, following the system of criaderas and soleras. The resulting whisky was kept for the family consumption alone, until it was launched in 2016. It has an average age of 15 years and has been aged in centenary casks containing Palo Cortados and Olorosos from the most prestigious Valdespino soleras.

The Malt whisky used to top up the foundational Solera is obtained from the double distillation in copper stills of malted barley, coming originally from Spain and Scotland. The spirit ages in sherry casks, previously containing Palo Cortado and Oloroso sherry wines, at Valdespino winery in Jerez de la Frontera.

Ron Viejo

Designed for family consumption.

Alc. Vol.: 43º

Valdespino has been exporting its wines and brandies to Cuba since colonial times, and has a strong presence and enjoys immense prestige in this market. Around 1940, a reduced number of casks containing pure cane rum were selected and imported. When these casks arrived in Jerez, they were used to establish a solera of very old rum for family consumption. Our Ron Viejo has an average age of 20 years and has been aged in centenary casks which contained Oloroso from the oldest Valdespino soleras.

Premium rum obtained from the distillation of molasses from sugar cane. The origin of this distillate is the first batch of Cuban rum imported by Valdespino in 1940, which was established in a limited Solera. Over decades this Solera has been topped up with selected Panama and Dominican Republic rums. A small selection of batches were subsequently aged under the solera and criadera system in sherry casks, which previously contained extremely old  Oloroso sherry, at Valdespino winery.

Dry Gin.

785 bottles of exceptional finesse.

Alc. Vol.: 40º

Produced in small batches, this prime, carefully triple-distilled gin is aged for 4 years in a selected cask that previously contained Inocente, the iconic Valdespino Fino, which adds to its unique personality. A Single Cask Dry Gin of which 785 numbered bottles have been filled for the delight of the most demanding palates. Round, smooth, with extraordinary finesse.

This Premium Dry Gin was distilled three times from the finest grain, previously infused with lemon and juniper extracts to obtain its delicate finesse.

After experimenting with different kinds of Sherry casks in search of the ideal balance, our wine making and master blending team selected the Valdespino Fino Inocente casks to provide this Gin with its unique smooth character. After ageing for over four years, only one cask was selected and bottled to be part of the Valdespino Rare Spirit Collection.

Brandy de Jerez

Unique grandeur.

Alc. Vol.: 42,5º

This Brandy de Jerez comes from a solera consisting of a very limited number of casks, established by the Valdespino family in 1842 and intended for the sole consumption of relatives and close friends of the company. Ever since, it has continued to age in our dimly lit cellar in Jerez and had never before been marketed until 2016 when it was presented as part of the Valdespino Rare Spirit Collection. This is a Solera Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez with an average age of over 30 years, aged in Jerez casks which previously contained Finos and Amontillados from Valdespino’s most reputable soleras.

This Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva originally comes from the oldest soleras founded in 1842 at Valdespino Bodega. Obtained by the distillation of the finest “holandas” and aged under

the solera and criadera system for over 25 years, in centenary casks previously used for the aging of Fino and a very old Amontillado Sherry.

Each and every one of the Valdespino collections is the legacy of a centuries-old wine making tradition.
